Palo Alto College may have found its next president.
On Friday, Alamo Colleges Chancellor Bruce Leslie notified staff via email of his plan to recommend Palo Alto insider Ruben Michael ?Mike? Flores for the position. Alamo College trustees may approve the appointment at their meeting Tuesday night.
Flores, who has 19 years of higher education experience, joined Palo Alto in 1999.
Since then, he has becoming dean of institutional effectiveness and community development, vice president of college services and vice president of student services, according to his resume.
His most recent role was interim vice president of academic success, Leslie said.
After more than a decade as Palo Alto's president, Ana ?Cha? Guzm?n retired at the end of August.
