The Need For Hybrid Cars

There is no doubt that humans have accelerated the depletion of ozone layer. Some of the daily routine activities that individuals are engaged in lead to emission of gasses that promotes air pollution. As per the research, vehicles tend to have the highest impact on greenhouse emissions.

The reports have shown that emissions released via vehicles on road on per day basis as 92070 tons of HC, 976.63 tons of carbon monoxide, 29207 tons of nitrogen dioxide, 64510 tons of PM. Apart from this the total fuel consumption per day amounts to 3535370.

Did you know that humans breathe in 3000 gallons of air everyday? Now imagine what they are inhaling all this time. Contaminated air, which will only do harm. The exhaustion of our natural resources and the increase in air pollution has compelled scientist, researchers, and vehicle engineers to find alternatives and so the hybrid cars were given birth.

Hybrid cars are designed to provide more fuel efficiency. They operate in such a way that once the gasoline engine has initiated the automobile and accelerated it the electric motor, which is powered by batteries, takes over it. The energy that is required for the purpose of breaking and decelerating consumes the electric motor?s batteries hence making the vehicle fuel-efficient.

With the above description, there is no question about the fact that automobiles that work on hybrid system carry immense benefits for the consumer and the society as a whole. Usual automobile construction requires heavy weight material, on the contrary hybrid designed vehicles uses light in weight material. The hybrid car hence doesn?t have to carry extra weight while mobilising, therefore it saves energy. Apart from this, the aerodynamic design of hybrid cars is such that it augments energy efficiency.

Tires of a more rigid and hard material are used for hybrid cars as compared to other automobiles, these tires work on high pressure. Such tires reduce friction between their surface and the road, which gives an edge to the car, as less force needs to be overcome which means less energy is used while driving.

Having higher-pressure system also allows less per gallon gasoline to be consumed by the vehicle and hence increases its mileage. The energy required when the brakes are applied need not to come from gasoline power, but it transfers energy from the batteries inserted in the vehicle.

Apart from these, the biggest advantage still lies in the fact that unlike other automobiles, hybrid cars are eco friendly. Neither will they release immense amounts of harmful gases into the air and destroy the planet nor will they let our natural resources deplete. These advantages cannot be over looked, and with the continuous fact reports that are printed and released, it is important for human beings to be aware of what they are doing and how can it be prevented. In the years yet to come, not only will hybrid cars prove to be cost efficient, but also they will help one carry out the social responsibility that he is obliged to fulfil.
