Annual BIA show offers one-stop shop for home, gardening ...

GRANVILLE ? Early spring weather in central Ohio already has prompted the necessity of mowing lawns and sparked thoughts of gardening, outdoor living and spring cleaning.

To ease the process of planning home improvement projects, the Buckeye Valley Building Industry Association?s annual Licking County Home and Garden Show, presented by Park National Bank, once again will offer locals a one-stop opportunity to meet with exhibitors about ?the latest and greatest in what?s hot for your home and garden this year,? said Tricia Anderson, executive officer of the Buckeye Valley BIA.

This year?s event Friday and Saturday is themed ?Your Passport to Better Living,? and guests can make the most of the show by entering completed ?passports? in a drawing for a $300 gas card.

Participants who visit all the event sponsors with their passports will be eligible to win the $300 gas card.

This will be the second year for the passport theme, Anderson said.

?Last year was a huge success,? she added.

Fifty exhibitors, all from central Ohio, will have displays set up at Granville?s Bryn Du Mansion and Fieldhouse for the event.

The exhibitors? fields of expertise include landscaping, outdoor furniture, lawn equipment, direct TV, home security, geothermal, builders and remodelers, home organization, banks and more, Anderson said.

The event is sponsored by Park National Bank, the Newark Advocate and the Buckeye Valley BIA.

Tickets for the show are $5 and free for children younger than 12. A coupon for $2 off admission is available at the Buckeye Valley BIA website, www.buckeyevalleybia.com, or on the Newark Advocate website, www.newarkadvocate.com.
